The MoEF&CC Finalises Coal Thermal Power Plant Categories

The Indian Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has released its final list of the coal thermal power plants & their categorisation for meeting emission norms. Nearly 78% of the coal power capacity in India is not liable to meet emission norms before 2024.

EU Moves Ahead With Plans To Label Gas And Nuclear As ‘Green’

The European Union has drawn up plans to label some natural gas and nuclear energy projects as "green" investments after a year-long battle between governments over which investments are truly climate-friendly. The EU is expected to propose new rules for the EU's ‘sustainable finance taxonomy’.

Denmark To Have Domestic Flights Fossil Fuel Free By 2030

Denmark aims to reach fully fossil-fuel-free domestic aviation by 2030. Prime Minister Frederiksen wants the Scandinavian country to “take the lead and raise the bar even more” on environmental action. The new ambition is coupled with the country’s desire to cut carbon emissions by 70% by 2030, compared with 1990 levels.
