Dr. Jitendra Singh, Bio:  

Dr. Jitendra Singh is a medical practitioner, author, professor, and newspaper columnist specializing in diabetology and consultant medicine. In 2012, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has since served as a Member of Parliament for Udhampur, Jammu—his native place—across three consecutive terms in 2014, 2019, and 2024. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Singh has held roles as both a Cabinet Minister and Union Minister of State.

- 2014-2021, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region
- 2016, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports
